Dr. Mitali was all set for her speech She discussed the following tips in her speech:-
- You should use the sunscreen with the broad spectrum UV protection for at least 30 SPF. using the sunscreen will either give you an uneven tan or will not tan at all. One sunscreen would be enough to cover all of your body.
- If you are going to any beach for getting the perfect tan then you can use the tan bed. Also, keep on changing your lying positions frequently to get an even tan. All you need to carry to the beach is sunscreen, towels, hydrating spray, or moisturizers. If you want to opt for swimming or any water games then you must reapply your sunscreen once you are out of the water. The sunscreens are not waterproof so when you come out from the water all the effect goes away.
- Food items like carrots, tomatoes, watermelon, kale, and sweet potatoes are really helpful in giving you a proper tan without any burn. These food items contain beta carotene which helps to increase the melanin under your skin layers. Melanin is the pigment that helps to darken your skin layer. You will get the perfect tan within 2-3 hours. Don’t spend more than 2-3 hours in the sun, it will burn your skin.
- If you feel redness or inflammation on your skin, then you must quickly go inside because you have already damaged your skin cells. Staying more time would only cause skin issues.
- Sun rays are most harmful during noontime, between 12 to 3 pm so you should try to stay indoors during that time. The best time for getting a perfect tan is morning time or the evening. At that time the sun’s rays don’t have enough strength to burn your skin.
- You must choose proper garments because the strips can give you an uneven tan. The liners will be easily seen and it looks really bad. The motive for getting tan is that it will give you a darkish look which will be best for good pictures. So, avoid straps tops.
- Pre tan would be the best choice. This will help you get used to the sun. You can start by staying for a few times by applying sunscreen with high SPF. Then, slowing increases the duration. Also, apply moisture before going into the skin. The moisturized skin gets a better tan than dry skin. You should also drink enough water because you usually get dehydrated when you stay in sun for long.
